PRIYANKA DEVAGUPTAPU
Honors Portfolio
As a health education and behavior undergraduate pursuing a career in medicine, I developed professional and personal skills by engaging in upper-level coursework and robust extracurricular activities. I appreciated my hard science classes for the knowledge I gained relating to the human body and its physiological systems. I also valued my health education coursework for rounding out my academic experience and teaching me how to engage patients in a preventative lifestyle. I had many rewarding experiences through involvement on the University of Florida campus and within the Gainesville community. I had first-hand experience assisting with patient education through volunteering with the Equal Access Clinic and the Mobile Outreach Clinic. These volunteer positions affirmed my desire to work to increase health education within a clinical setting.
